| JoelleK18's Full Review: Pioneer DEH-P4000 CD Changer |
Well I have gone through many a CD Deck in the short life of my car. If you are a car thief you have probably stolen one from me, odds are you are listening to my CD player right now if you bought one off of the black market. Anyway my point is that the best CD player I have purchased out of all of these is the Pioneer 4000.
I have tried cheap imitations, hoping they would compare to the wonder that is the Pioneer, but alas, none of them ever come close. Time and time again I have stared at the 4000 at my local Best Buy, and finally I went for it and put the $250 down to get my own.
Besides having excellent sound quality, this CD Deck is rather simple to use. I have read other reviews where people have had problems with this deck, but as far as I can tell there is nothing on the deck that isn't explained in the manual. I am no electronic genius here, so if I can figure it out, you can too!! You can preset more radio stations then we even have here in Minnesota, so there is another added bonus of this deck. With its great base and custom equalizer you can get the maximum quality from all of your music. If you like opera or rap or anything in between you can make it sound good on this CD Deck. This CD player has an alarm, which is my favorite aspect of it. You can even turn the beeping noise up to the point where it might hurt a thieves' hearing. As long as you put your face on fast enough you are spared of this shrill beeping.
Another nice feature I have found useful for the cold Minnesota winters is that this CD player is durable. Often times I have to leave my car outside in freezing temperatures which can be hard on a CD player, but this one has been good to me for a number of years. I have even accidently left the face on while the car was outside, and as of today there has been no damage to the unit. Well I don't leave the face outside anymore, but I know that if I did, it would be going strong the next day.
Overall I would say that, even though this CD Deck is rather pricy, it is worth what you pay. I have spent over $700 on cheaper other brands and they never, ever measure up to the quality of the Pioneer.
