I was amazed at the quality of this deck. The internal amp has a lot of clean power, the display is nice without being vulgar (I am starting to hate the "Dancing Web Page" displays that are so popular with teenagers!). I added a sub-woofer and separate amp to mine, and the internal amp keeps up with a the sub without any problem.
One drawback is getting used to the controls, however, most car audio components are a learning experience anymore. I miss knobs!
Once you get used to the controls, the sound is highly customizable. There is a three band EQ built in, the frequency of the three bands is ADJUSTABLE so you can customize the output to your speakers and environment.
I paid $225 for my deck at a low overhead outlet, and I would recommend this deck to anyone wanting a good quality high power CD deck in their vehicle.
