| jplas's Full Review: Pioneer DEH-6000 CD Changer |
You know what I like best about my DEH-6000? I could say it was the flashy looking oversized screen and flip down face. I could say it was the security of the removable faceplate. I could say it was the raw 45 watts of continuous power to every channel. I could say any of those, but I won't.
Is it the customizable equalizer with lots of preset settings to chose from? No. Is it the coolness of just having a button that says "loud"? Nope. The overall stylish design or 20 available preset stations? Or the 12v preouts that allow you to switch the phasing to your Amp and Subs with the push of a button? Nah.
I'm babbling now, so I'll tell you. It comes with a built in alarm system. When you've got that nice of a stereo you've got to worry about people stealing it. And I'm sure you've got other stuff of value in your car, I know I do. But when the security system is active on this baby, all you have to do is detach the face and then leave the car. After 30 seconds, the security system activates. After that, whenever one of the doors is opened you have 10 seconds to put the faceplate back on or the keys in the ignition, or else an alarm plays through your speaker system to alert anyone around and scare the intruder away. This CD player has it all!
