Pros: Big easy-to-read display, big buttons, 'premier' sound.
Cons: Display a bit dull, doesn't flush mount in GM units.
The Bottom Line: One of the very best 1.5 din units out there today, great for us GM owners. If you want lots of eye-candy, look elsewhere.

| esoteric's Full Review: Pioneer DEH-66DH CD Changer |
This 1.5 din CD player is great for those of us who own GM cars and trucks. It fills up the entire 1.5 din mounting cavity instead of just some of it like the standard 1 din units do. With this added space the display is larger and the buttons are larger too. There isn't anything moving around on the display or much eye candy, but the colors are attractive and its easy to see whats going on. You can store a number of CD titles in the unit so when you pop your favorite cd in, the unit will display the name you programmed.
Because of the Pioneer Premier mosfet 45x4 amp, this unit has plenty of power. I think it sounds better then the newer DEH-P47DH (I own both 1.5 din units). The supertuner receiver picks up even weak radio stations.
Function of the DEH-66DH is easy. The display tells you whats going on and it is quite easy to navigate. Build is very solid as well, this unit is heavy and built to last. The two sets of RCA outputs make adding amplifiers and subs very easy.
