Pros: Nice looking deck with good basic level functions.
Cons: hmmm.. you just gotta read the review...
The Bottom Line: The CD player works great, and look great, but if you want to know what time it is you may wreck before it cycles through the functions to show you

| kung_fu_chimp's Full Review: Sony CDX-2250 CD Changer |
And to tell you the truth I didn't even read the manual... I just installed it and started banging on buttons. Well, I was out a cd player for my car (long story) and I needed a cd player pretty much like yesterday and I looked up what would save me the most money from the auction sites... I saved over a hundred dollars on it so the price was just right for me to go out on a limb...
A few weeks later it showed up in the mail and I installed it. Now, the performance of this player is quite superb. It separates the levels very well, and it doesn't skip when I hit bums (and bumps)on the road. The CD auto repeats after the disc is complete and the volume and forward/reverse are easy enough to do while driving and not looking so you won't die while trying to cue a specific song. All of these are good things.
The only thing that bugged me about this CD player I got was this..And like I said, I never read the manual so it might be that mine was broken B stock crap, but.. The disc automatically repeats after it is finished, but you cannot fast forward past the last song. Meaning that you can forward through every song in the list but the last tune you have to either listen to or hold the forward button down to scan through the entire song...And you know how bands like to put the "mystery track" like 175 minutes after the last (or so we thought! it's the wonder of the mystery track) song is over.. Well, you have to scan through all 75 years of dead space untill it lets you start all over. That or reverse it to song 1... This has become my new pet peeve, it was short lived because some idiot broke off my rear view mirror while I was moving a TV for him but once I glued that thing back on it will once again be my premeire thing that bugs the hell out of me about my car.
Another downer is that it cycles through the time, cd name, and cd status of track number and length into the song.. When I am late for work and racing at mach 5 to make it on time I have to stare at the led screen untill it decides to display the time... And, now get this, for some reason it will just alter the sequence for no apparent reason. It will flash the CD status twice in a row or something like that.. And it's always the opposite selection than the one you were looking for.
I don't know why.
Other than that this equipment is great. Buy one- it's worth it.
