| frfighter69's Full Review: Sony CDX-2250 CD Changer |
When I first got into car stereo's it was lets do it for as cheep as possible. I soon found that if you want a quality sound system you might have to spend a little extra money. I first started out with a cheep radio and soon realized that it just was not going to do (ya know one of those that you find on sale for cheep at Wal-Mart) so I went to the local electronics store and told them what I had in mind.
They set me up with the Sony line, being that I did not have a lot of cash, I decided to go with the CDX-2250 in dash CD player. The price was great. It had more options than the other radios that I was looking at.
I have had the stereo in 2 different trucks. The first being a 78 Ford that was jacked up for off road use.. (thus it had a rough ride and it was kind of noise) but the Sony could handle the bumps with no problems. and with all of the out-puts for speakers there was plenty of power to hide the noise of a big block motor.
I now have the stereo system in my 88 chevy S-10 (this is 2 year's after buying it.) The radio still sounds great, the only problem is that the volume control tends to get a little cranky and it won't always eject the CD's (but with Sony's extended service plan it will be fixed for free.
