I just purchased a second one, after the first one was stolen from my Jeep because, it has great sound. The controls are easy to use and easy to see at night, except for the power off button. It is small and at night, hard to find.
Sound quality is what you would expect from Sony and the unit doesn't skip, even when going off road. Insert a CD partway and the unit takes it the rest of the way and begins play. Going from track to track is easy with the "lever" control on the left and switching from radio to CD is just as easy. The volume controls seem "slow" and you will have to rotate the knob quite a number of times to crank it up. I would have preferred more response from the volume knob. When you get it turned up, you will be pleased with the clarity of sound produced.
Once it was installed, it even worked the power antenna and reception is as good as any unit I have had.
Depending on your vehicle, you may find installation cost to be high, with wiring harness, connectors, etc. I did add new speakers with the unit and it was worth the expense.
