This is one of sony's better radio's. this radio has so many functions and can be adapted to Sony's many other components to give you the ultimate audio and video system for your car. Thats right i said audio and VIDEO. This radio is cd changer , equalizer and t.v tuner controllable. Meaning that a Sony t.v. tuner , cd changer and digital sound processor can be controlled right through the head unit.The radio also has a voice guide which lets you work the radio without having to take your eyes off the road.(ex. if you change the radio station , the radio announces the new station you are listening to).The sound quality is great even without the external equalizer. The unit also includes a wired remote which you can mount on you steering column or your center console(you can purchase the wireless remote which will also work).The unit is also cd text ready which means if your cd's are text encoded the radio will display the artist and song title on its display. If not the you can program the names of the cd from the unit itself.(you cd also has to be text ready)The unit is also removable face for security. I have the sony xrc9100 and the 10 disc cd changer and the t.v. tuner with three 5" color monitors in my car and it looks and sounds great.
