| YODA_6's Full Review: Sony STR-DE135 2 Channels Receiver |
I recently purchased this receiver from a technology catalog called Crutchfield (which I would recommened to anyone) I was rather excited when it came a few days later via UPS. This was the begining step to my stereo system that I'm slowly putting together. While shopping I found this one and decided to see what others thought of it. I came here and read all 3 of the reviews for the most part they liked it so I decided to get it. (I would like to mention that every electronic review done by Anthrax Kills is copied right out of Crutchfield.)
I was looking for a simple receiver that would handle two sets of speakers and had plenty of power. This was my pick. It has 100 watts of power per channel (2 channels)and 30 FM/AM presets that can be accessed through the full function remote. Like I said there are outputs for two sets of speakers but only one can be used at a time. There are a total of four inputs for other components like a CD player, tape deck or mini disc. The LCD on the receiver will tell you which function you are using.
This is a great receiver for any stereo system that doesn't have tons of components or speakers. It has plenty of power and enough inputs. The full function remote is also nice because it can switch staions and adjust the volume along with control any other sony components you add on.
Just an addition to the review I made a couple of years ago. As soon as the warranty ran out on this reciever it burnt up on me. It is now useless and I am forced to buy a new one. You can be sure that it will not be a Sony. I am changing my rating from excellent to below average.
