Pros: It does the job.
Cons: Volume level (attenuation setting) needs to be larger; input cross-talk
The Bottom Line: If you can get it new for under $600 USD at this point (early 2002) then it's probably an ok deal.

| sm5w2's Full Review: Denon AVR-3300 5.1 Channels Receiver |
My unit does not suffer from the "noisy fan" syndrome that I've read about. I would never know that the 3300 even had a fan.
Since the 3300 has been out of production for a while, these reviews aren't likely to sway anyone's purchasing decisions. The only reason I'm writing this is to ask if any 3300 owners have experienced the following problem with the unit.
I've got a Denon receiver (AVR 3300) purchased in Dec / 99 and have a Denon CD changer connected to one of the digital coax inputs. I hooked up the line-level audio from my TV to one of the analog inputs (TV/DBS). To listen to the CD, I hit the "CD" button (8) on the 3300's remote, and to listen to TV I hit 4 (TV/DBS).
If I have the CD changer playing a CD, and I select the TV/DBS source, I can hear the audio from the CD and the TV at the same time in the speakers (although the CD audio is fainter and sounds distorted / noisy).
Anyone else have the same problem? (I've already gotten one e-mail from someone else that has a similar problem).
What does this say for the signal/noise ratio of this unit if such cross-talk exists in all units?
E-mail me at sm5w2 at hotmail dot com if your 3300 has a similar problem (and especially if you've had it fixed!)
