This is such a great receiver. Don't even compare to Yamaha or Sony. This is very sweet sounding, with many good modes for the surround and effects. All very customizable. I went from an old powerhouse of a receiver from the 70's to this and don't regret it 1 bit. This has less power then my old 1 but it is a cleaner sound. Just for the record, I have this hooked to my B&W 602's for mains, 601's for the rear, and the cc3 center channel. I am so pleased with these picks. Everyone that hears it would rather watch a movie at my house then go to a theater. If you have more to spend then by all means get Denons better models. Denons reliability seems to be excellent as well. You will enjoy it when you get it, especially if you updated from the 70's like I did.
