What a behemoth!!!
I bought this receiver because I wanted the biggest and best. With 75 amps of High Current Capability, this unit will produce accurate sound from the most bass intensive soundtracks. But it not its raw power and excellent sound that makes this several steps above the competition (although it helps), it is also the little things.
The unit has enough inputs/outputs to wire a small town. TWO sets of component video inputs, with component switching. A 6-channel input for future compatibility. Preamp outputs to all channels. Multi-room control with remote is a bonus. The front set of inputs can also be used at outputs. Who else has that flexibility.
The manual is very concise for proper setup and maintenance. The on screen display helps to configure every aspect of the system. The sound management for this unit is second to none which includes trim level adjustment. The Turn On Volume setting as well as display brightness setting just adds to the uniqueness of this unit.
No unit is perfect. The ONLY downside to this unit is its physical size. The unit is very tall, and about 22" deep. This means it will not fit a standard cabinet.
