I bought this receiver as a first step in building my surround system and now that it's complete, I don't regret a thing. The receiver has power to spare and has all the necessary inputs. Sound quality is excellent even at high volumes. FM reception is good.
Changing settings from the front panel can be trying at times, but everything is accessible. The remote is somewhat cramped but self-explanatory.
The best thing about this receiver is its high power and crystal clear sound. It does lack a digital decoder, but this can be remedied with a decoder in your DVD player.
Overall I'd say this is an excellent product and would recommend it to anyone who is building there system as a first step. I would also recommend it to anyone who might have a DVD player with a built-in decoder.
