This is an beautiful sounding receiver. Warm, full sound.. nothing like the pioneers and sonys that i've tried. I prefer the sound over the somewhat more cavalier sound of the Denon.
One thing that does bother me somewhat is that the remote is sometimes unresponsive.. i have to push a few times to get it to work sometimes. Also the bass management that i mentioned. The bass for music seems less responsive than with other receivers.. in particular the Denon 2801.
I'm not sure whether this is good or bad, maybe i'm too much of a bass monger!
The banana plugs on the back see a little bit flimsy too, though none of them have broken.
Marantz has one of the best warranties. 3-years manufacturer's warranty, and an available 9 year extended. WOW!
