Pros: Clean sound, ULTIMATE remote, ease of use!
Cons: No biggie, but no Dolby Pro Logic II
The Bottom Line: Significant audio preservation and clarity- that of which other receivers lack- a must have/upgrade!
A truly beautiful receiver! Sony ...who?

Hehehe... it's a little heavy, but how often do you move a receiver?
I had a decent receiver prior to this one, but WOW! The difference in clarity was amazing! I swear that there was sound MISSING from audio tracks I heard through my older receiver! The same speakers, cords, wires, and cables- just a different receiver! Amazing!
The only thing I wish it had was the new Dolby Pro Logic II, but that's getting a little greedy, I think. Besides, I had no idea that there would be this new technology when I bought it. Oh well. It's still a beautiful receiver!
The remote is almost another wonder to behold when you open the box! It's a learning remote, so you can set all your component's individual infrared signals and then forget about it! That's right- it remembers them! You can take the batteries out, put in another set, and the code sets will still be there! It's also programmable, so at the touch of a button, it'll switch on your TV, your receiver, cue up your DVD, and turn the volume up- whatever you want! You can also operate it in the dark because it can be backlit with the press of another button (just memorize where it is).
The receiver also has many useful and fancy features to set such as labeling your inputs and radio station presets, "intellivolume" compensation (+/- vol level), and smart volume- won't hurt you speakers with the volume up on shutdown and power-up, ...just to name a few!
