We have spent years thinking about buying a stereo component sound system for listening to FM radio, DVD sound, and satellite TV. Until recently the systems I have seen were complex and appeared to be conglomerations of different parts.
This Sony receiver delivers good strong sound with lots of bass when you need it.
One of the most amazing things I have discovered is that when I occasionally watch football games on satellite television, I can mute the TV announcer, emphasize crowd noise, or the on field sounds. You can really here those big hits or make it more like the at the game atmosphere. I do this by surfing through the modes on the remote.
This product is great for people that want a workable system with potential to apply some of the more sophisticated features.
My one complaint is that the remote is very complex. I am sure that eventually I might use all those buttons but most of the time they are just in the way.
