Pros: Great starter

Cons: no s-video ins/outs

The Bottom Line: it's a good starter, but if you want an upgradable receiver or one that you can keep for awhile keep looking.

I bought this boy from a co-worker for $300 in April 01. As soon as i got it home and plugged it in i found it didn't work!! So i took it in to get fixed. He agreed to knock off the price of repairs, so $150 later i have a great receiver that produces great cd/dvd sound. Especially
since i'm only running 40 watts out of my center and rear speakers(i'm working on upgrading). Recently though it refuses to play sound, until i turn it off and on for a couple minutes... I was also disappointed when i saw there were no S-video ins/outs. And setting it up for my room also took a little skill. The manuals were not much help.
I love the 2-way remote that will store upto 200cd titles and 30 AM/FM stations in it.
