| wilkow's Full Review: Technics SA-AX530 Receiver |
Now if you want the cheapest stereo component you can get, you are as far off as if you want the best. The SA-AX530 is just the middle of the road product that Technics offers. Now this is exactly what I was looking for so it suits me fine. I have plenty of inputs to hook up my audio amd video system while getting decent power. In addition to this, I saved a lot by going cheap here and was able to spend it elsewhere in my system.
Now I have never had any problem with a Technics product and this one has been no different. The brand is a little cheaper than some of the other big brands, but it gives you the same power. There are plenty of options to use and features that leave you more than satisfied with your purchase. The only thing about this model is that is is just mediocre. That's what it is meant to be.
I enjoy the Dolby Digital Ready feature along with the amount of inputs it offers. I am able to hook up a TV, VCR, Mini Disc, DVD, and my computer with this one machine. The quality is there for all the components and it sounds great. The only drawbacks come from me not wanting to spend more. For the price the unit works great. It also has more features than one might expect for the money. I think it is a great deal.
If you want a quality home theatre system, but are looking to save some cash, this is the product for you. It offers everything you are looking for in a receiver, but it is not the best. If you want more power or built in Dolby Digital encoding, take the step up. It is up to you.
