| Kimberly_Dawn's Full Review: Yamaha RX-V2095 5.1 Channels Receiver |
The Yamaha RXV-2095 is a great performer when it comes to price vs. quality. 100 clean watts of power to all five channels plus 25 watts a channel to both effect channels. The effect channels are great for creating a sense of you're there. It has more DSP's than you'll ever need. It's truly great for movies.
On the downside, if you're like me and like your music loud, you'll find that the amp loses detail. Microdynamics are poor at louder playing levels as well. I actually traded in my 2095 a couple months after I got it for a Denon 5600dts( got a very good deal on it since it was recently discontinued). The Denon just screams clean power at ungodly levels. I prefer music over movies.
For just about anyone that want's a fair trade off of true high performance vs. not breaking the piggy bank the Yamaha RXV-2095 would make a killer component.
