When I decided to get a home theater system,I went to my most trusted stereo shop and boy did they set me up.I told them that I wanted a system that I won't have to upgrade for a few years and that I wanted what every man wants in a stereo..POWER and QUALITY.
My salesman suggested this Yamaha reciever and a Yamaha cd player for me and let me tell you that this is one heck of a reciever.The boys at Yamaha really don't mess around when they want to build the best.First,they have a hundred watts of surround sound,and that a hundred straight across the board.
One hundred watts to every channel(each speaker),not one hundred total,but to each speaker.Yamaha is one of a few manufactures who does that quite possibly the only one who offers that feature.The remote that comes with this reciever is a "learning remote",meaning it can be programed to do what ever any of your t.v.,v.c.r.,.d.v.d.and your tape deck remotes do.Another awsome because it can be your only remote you need instead of five or six different remotes.
There are too many reasons why I recommend this product I could type all day.From one stereo buff to whom ever reads this,trust me,You will be impressed and amazed at all that this reciever offers that the other manufactures wish they could even figure out how to build.
