Pros: Great SOUND!

Cons: Bad remote

Wow, what a great receiver! First, let me start out by saying this recever does not cost over 1000$ I managed to pick it up for 837$ at ABCstereo.com. It is available for about 100$ cheaper at another website.Back to the receiver. This is a 800$ receiver that sounds like a 2000$ dollar one. Beleive me, I've heard the best. I would have to say the DSP's are kind of dissapointing. Especially the sports DSP that sometimes is so overwhelming it drowns out the voice. The church dsp is quite interesting however and the movie dsp's work well. It is a breeze to set up and sounds great right away. Personally I think the remote is horrible but that would be this system's only flaw. Go YAMAHA!
