| dnc4sound's Full Review: Bose 201 IV Main / Stereo Speaker |
These speakers can be under estimated at, because of the fact that there a small book shelf speaker. Well, lets just say this small bookshelf speaker, gives off some loud, rich, air filling sound! These speakers are built with a 2-way design. This means that theres 1 woofer, and 1 tweeter in the enclosure. The woofer can produce a good, solid amount of bass, but not to super loud levels. But, that should be expected because it was made as 'booshelf speaker' design. When people think of bose they think of loud, thunderous bass and highs, at ear periecing volumes. These 'bookshelf' speakers can play loud, clean, and clear. There not made to be played at supremely loud volumes, although they can be, and sometimes still sound great.
This speaker, is an amazimg bookshelf speaker because it passes all other bookshelf designs, exept the bose 301 IV. I heard these speakers at a Best Buy, and new immediatly that they'd be perfect for my back speakers of my surround sound system. They can't quite handle as much as i would like my main speakers to, but there more than plenty for my surrounds. Other great uses for these speakers would be for a bedroom, small to mid sized stereo systems, or anywhere that you'd like good clean sound, but maybe not at an extreme volume. These speakers are awesome.
