Pros: Great for movie vocals. Clean sound for music too! Good price. Polk Quality.
Cons: None so far
The Bottom Line: Excellent average sized room center channel for your home theater. Good price, and companion to other Polk fronts.

| misterman's Full Review: Polk Audio CS245 Center Speaker |
Purchased this speaker for $50 after Polk's special for $150 off after $400 spent on speakers. I upgraded from the free offering (CS175) after some average reviews on it.
Unlike the 175, this speaker offers 2 mid drivers for balanced sound on each side of the center tweeter. The speaker has good vertical range which is good since I have the speaker above ear level. The horizontal range is excellent too, for those times, I have to sit on the side sofa.
Movie vocals are transparent and blend well with the TV to provide central location of movie dialogue, yet not so loud as to be distracting and drowning out the other front speakers. Music is great too, but I prefer to run music through the front speakers.
I have paired these with RT600 fronts and they are a great complement to any small-mid sized home theater. I have heard many say that for home theater applications, the center channel speaker is the most important, since it receives most of the audio output. Well, this center speaker will not let you down at a great price.
