I'm using my Edge's as effect channels for my Yamaha DSP-A1. The Edge's do a wonderful job of blending with my AR 312 HO's. The 5 1/4 handles midbass easily and the tweeter belts out the highs quite nicely. I'm not much of a fan of hard dome tweeters because they tend to be a little bright, but this tweet stays pretty tame.
I listened to them in stereo for a while to see what they could do and they really handled what the Yamaha could give them in stride. The only thing I can find wrong with these speakers is the terrible mounting bracket. I have a pair of Niles for outdoor speakers and that bracket is a joy. The Edge's bracket on the other hand mounts the speaker too far away from the wall and is hard to get to and screw down.
If you can get around the awkward mounting bracket and are like me and love all things AR, these are the indoor/outdoor speakers for you.
