Let me start by telling how I chose these speakers. I first researched the speakers on the internet and decided on an Infinity system, as I am a big fan of their subs. Then I went in to a major retailer where a friend of mine works and asked for them. They had them, but the sales person told me I would be better off with the Polk system. It cost a lot more, but when he took me into the sound room, I fell in love. Fortunately my friend bought them for me using his employee discount. The sound was much fuller and the bass hit harder.
If you are in the market for a new surround system, this is the way to go. I do feel I need to mention the fact that I have blown one of the satellite speakers and the sub, but don't let this discourage you. I am one who abuses speakers. When I was living in my apartment I had these speakers so loud that I can't be in the same room with them. I had to go downstairs to the court yard outside and our neighbors would complain that they could not even hear their own TV.
