Awesome, Awesome, Awesome!

Pros:Superb sound quality
Cons:VERY expensive.
"I would never pay that much for a pair of speakers" and I didn't. If you didn't get them then, too bad for you because I believe they are out of production.
I stopped by a chain store to look at the top of the line Polks' on a recommendation from a friend. The sales guy said "If you are interested in the Polks' listen to these." Suddenly, I was submersed in this whimsical wonderland of HI FI Mariah Carey. I was front row where the highs were CRISP, the lows were LOW and responsive, and the MIDs filled everything in-between.
"How much are those," I asked. The sales person replied, "$1250.............each." My response, "they sound AWESOME, but I would never pay that much for a pair of speakers." Several months later when I was negotiating the price for the Hitachi 60EX388 60" rear projection TV at the same chain store (different location), I wandered aimlessly waiting for the sales person to "talk with his manager." I stumbled upon a pair of "open box" OVERTURE 3's. They had a very small nick on the top edge of the fine cherry colored cabinets, so I ripped the grills off expecting to find the finger impression of 5 year old child in every cone. Not one! I verified operation of all 14 (4-6.5" woofers powered by a 300W on-board amp, 2-5.25" midranges, and 1-1"silk dome tweeter) individual poly cone speakers by ear and cranked them up for the final test. The connection point is made at the lower rear on combination style gold plated terminals. The speakers normally come with floor spikes to elevate the bottom of the speaker and down-firing ports off of the floor, but being "open box" mine were lost. I located Infinity's telephone number and Customer Service sent me a new set with no questions asked.
The best part, my deal of a lifetime, I made it out the door paying the pre-negotiated price for the TV and $1100 for both speakers...delivered (75 miles). I can justify the price by hoping these will be the lst speakers i buy for a long, long time.
These speakers will carry anything from Bach to LLCoolJ. And each speaker has its own amplifier volume control for the subs. I have chosen not to buy a dedicated sub for my home theater because my receiver will send the lows to the Overture3's and onscreen explosions rattle everything in a 50 yard radius. I can distinguish a "poor" sounding system from a "good" one, and these sound great! I'm not saying they are the best thing ever made or top the lab tests, but the slightly above average user will find them unbelievable.
