| mebaria's Full Review: Paradigm Monitor 9 Main / Stereo Speaker |
I've had my Monitor 9 for some 2 years now, and I'm very pleased with the sound. When I was out shopping for speakers, I has B&W on my first place, but after listening to Paradigm in the store, I was convinced to try them a few days. The first thing that hit me, was the clear and concise vocals. The bass is also strong and authorative, even for such a "cheap" speaker. My only beef with the Paradigm Monitor 9 is the fact it can be a difficult speaker to push. I had a Denon AVR 610 and when I went to the Technics SAX-1040 I noticed and immediate difference in authority and precence. At high volumes they can also get a bit grainy or shrill. Overall, a great speaker. They've lasted me 2 years and I consider myself to be rather picky about my audio.
