After my mom (an opera singer and teacher) had her CD player stolen she cruelly took my beautiful sound sytem away from me, a teenager!!! So to make up for it, when we bought a new computer, she bought me this subwoofer and speakers so i could play all my big bass music from download on the computer since (pout) i don't have a CD player in my room anymore. I've seen the huge subwoofer systems that my guy friends guard with their lives, and this was just (one) box so i wasn't expecting big things, i was just gonna be happy if it was anything like my taken sound system. Once hooked up I decided to test it's capibilities by downloading that THX surround sound thing that comes on before the movie that everyone loves. It started and the sound quality was amazing....then the floor started buzzing, then i could feel the bass in my chest, until by the end of the 30 second THX surround sound test the windows were vibrating!!! Ever since then I have been hooked...but had to tone it down a bit (or use headphones) because its a bit much for the neighbours...Even my MOM loves it!! My guy friends are impressed with it (well for almost $700 canadian they better be!!) I highly recommend for teenagers and those who love the bass (and have tolerant neighbours)
