| Orky31's Full Review: Philips DVD815AT DVD Player |
I have seen many DVD players out on the market. I had heard many things about them, and wasn't sure how bad I really wanted one. From what I heard, I wanted it really bad. However, from the price of the movies and of the player itself, I was pretty hesitant. I took my time, I looked all over to find one that if I was going to buy, would be good for me. I finally after visiting many of my relatives all over the US and looking all over the US found the Phillips DVD 815AT. I think I mostly went with this one because it one that I could afford at the time. I mean after all lets face it, they are really expensive. The other factor was the free videos that I got with it! Then when I got home, I was getting ready to hook it up to my tv, and there was a slight problem. It didn't have a (coaxial) jack on the back of the DVD player and that was all my TV had. So, I got a new TV. Now I'm am a real fan of DVD players, and this one that I have, this is one of the easiest to use, and gives you all the features of an expensive DVD player that you would get anywhere else. I have visited other people with the more expensive ones, and they just are more work to try to figure out. I always seem to like mine that much more every time I see another one. I think it is the features all at the push of a button without having to go to one of those menus to get it to work. Anyway, I would really recommend this DVD player if you are looking for one that is very easy to use, and doesn't cost a lot of money. I have it hooked up to my Dolby Digital Reciever that I got just for the DVD and I will never go back to the origional VHS!! I hook it up to my 52" TV and even though it is a projection screen with the S-Video I get a better picture then I have ever seen on a regular TV!
