This is a great DVD player for the money. If anyone is unsure about buying a DVD player LOOK into it. They have way superior video and sound. With the proper TV and speaker system it can look and sound as if you are in the movie theater. DVD's are becoming very popular now and in time could replace VHS the way VHS replaced its predecesors. Philips is one of the leading electronic entertainment company's with their DVD players and flat screen TV's. You cant go wrong with a quality name and product like this. A friend of mine has this exact same model and runs it with a big screen TV and through a reciever with suround sound speakers and a subwoofer. It is remakably comparable to the movie theater. I even feel dissapointed watching movies at my house now, If only I could afford one right now.
