| doug_newt's Full Review: Pioneer DV-414 DVD Player |
This unit was bought by my family as a part of a home theatre package. It is used with poineer audio reciever and a large tube television.
The overall impression I get from using this product is that it is incredibly functional and reliable. In around 6 months of considerable use, including around 15 hours of use a week, the unit has performed extremely well. On only one occasion has the unit skipped. This was found to be caused by an older and scratched DVD.
I have also had the experience of using other players and have found that the changing layer pause on this unit is very slight and almost unnoticable.
In relation to sound, the unit has performed well, though I would have appreciated and simplier guide to setting up with the receiver.
