| mkeppler's Full Review: Pioneer DV-606D DVD Player |
I received this product from a local audio/video store that a friend of mine worked with because some newer models were coming in. I've used it since the beginning of January, and I must admit, the player has worked great. It is very simple to use and the DVD's run beautifully. But I'm not sure if it was really worth the $600-$700 that it retails for. One advantage is that it does have a DTS digital out, which is nice for individuals who have receivers that are compatible with DTS technology.
My only concern with this player is the price. It is a very expensive DVD player, and from what I have experienced from using different DVD players my friends own, there is not a significant difference among most DVD players once you find them priced over $400. For $700, I would expect for a DVD player with a multi-disc changer. This model doesn't have that.
Overall, I would recommend this player - I have had nothing but good experiences with it. Yet at the same time, buying a cheaper model wouldn't result a whole lot of difference.
