rskinfan's Full Review: Pioneer DVL-919 DVD Player
I kind of ran into this item by mistake. I was looking for a DVD/LD player. I had a older Pioneer LD player and was happy with it. I was walking through the store and the salesperson asked if I needed any help. I told her what I was looking for and she said they do not stock them. She then came back and told me that she had forgotten that a person ordered one and then didn't want it. It was in the stock room and if I wanted it I could have it for 50% off. I can't pass up a deal like that. This is a great unit. Great picture, easy to use and the price was PERFECT! For those of you that have a large LD library this is the perfect technology for you. You can keep your LD and start buying DVD at the same time. The only problem that I have found was that on certain DVD's the sound is not in sync with the lips. I did a little research and found that on many Pioneer DVD players that this is the case. I have seen it on only 2 DVD's and can live with it. If you want to play both LD's and DVD's this is a MUST buy.
