Pros: Excellent audio and video.

Cons: Susceptible to power dips.

This a very impressive product. With DVD being relatively new to me; I auditioned many players. After evaluating the performance of these machines. The Elite DVL was with out a doubt a front runner. Feature for feature you get more bang for the buck. The remote is quite easy to get familiar with. But the best is it's near perfect sound and video reproduction. The Legato audio circuitry developed by Pioneer. Truly brings the theater quality sound home. As for the visuals? In a word great. Short of the Meridian I could not find better. So if looking for a great unit at a moderate price. You've just found it. The only issue I had was after I moved into my new home. Apparently the power provided by my local electrical company. Was less than desirable. I noticed when my power dropped the unit would turn itself on. But this was remedied by installing a line conditioner.
