| jeffs320's Full Review: Sony DVP-CX850D Multi-disc DVD Player |
Well, I was looking for a new DVD Player (you wouldn't believe what happens if you put a mini-pizza in a DVD player...but it made sense to my son until about 5 seconds after he did it) I figured I would buy a Sony. Are they the best? Yes. Are the cheapest? No. BUT, being the valued Sony employee that I am, I naturally got the Employee discount, and that DOES make it the cheapest DVD Player for me...
Well, I don't know about you, but I am really lazy when I am sitting on the couch. By the time I get to the weekend, I sit on the couch and watch movies and play the Playstation for at least half the day on Saturday, and it gets to be a pain to get up and change the disc. So, when I saw that my price for the 200 disc changer is cheaper than retail for a 1 disc player, I had to do it.
One thing that I love about Sony DVD players is that they all have the Dolby Digital chip included with the DVD player. This way if you want to set up a surround sound system (yes, I can make the neighbors down the street wet the bed) you do not need a receiver for it, you just need the speakers. Definitely a bonus.
The only downside to having 200 movies in one spot is that you need to keep track of where they all are. But, I just keep a little book next to my Lazy Boy that has them all listed in order and then all I have to do is push the button for the one I want.
