| buzz48315's Full Review: Sony DVP-S330 DVD Player |
I acquired my Sony 330 DVD player last year as a Christmas gift from my fiancee and have loved every minute of it. Even opening the box was a pleasant experience because everything that is required to hook the player up to the TV is already in the box including the digital link cable.
If you have never watched a movie on DVD you are in for a real treat. DVD movies are recorded in a digital format which means, to you and me, that the sound and the picture are of CD quality so you can say goodbye to tape hiss in the audio and any sort of video interference.
The Sony 330 model is one of Sony's less expensive examples of a DVD player but still comes equipped with a host of features including a full-function remote control, decoder for multiple languages, and different captioning options.
The picture and sound quality that the 330 puts forth are second to none, after all this is still a Sony player. Running the 330 through my home theatre system produces a home movie experience that rivals being in a movie theatre, with booming sound, but with a better picture.
The only feature that this model does not have, that I would have liked, is a jog shuttle to make running the movie in slow motion a little easier. If you are interested in a DVD player with a jog shuttle Sony makes many other models that are equipped with one including the 530 which is basically a 330 with the jog shuttle.
If you are looking for a DVD player to finish off your home theatre or just to sit on top of the TV in the living room this is the one to get ahold of.
