The Bottom Line: SONY is known for their outstanding electronics and this is definitly a top item on the market.

This is a very good dvd player. I own one myself and i am very satisfied with this purchase. Not only does the outstanding picture quality make it good but the sound is great. I never thought you could really tell the difference in DVD players sound and the VHS sound but this DVD player explains it all. The menu operating navigation is very easy to follow and makes it very convenient for the electronic illiterate. It also great because i own a lot of DVDs and the DVP-S530D can hold 5 at one time which makes it very convenient for someone who watches them a lot.
