All around good dvd player

Pros: good video quality.good sound quality. decent price

Cons: switching from dolby to dts can be annoying

The Bottom Line: If you don't want to spend too much this is the dvd player for all. You cannot go wrong with it.

This dvd player fits the bill. It has dolby 5.1 capability, dts capability, coaxial or optical inputs and you don't need a receiver for 5.1 dolby. Basically for its price this dvd player gives you quite a bit of functionality. Configuration seems pretty straight forward. The only annoying thing is you have to manually configure it for DTS or dolby 5.1 in the beginning before starting a dvd. So the user has to select DTS twice. One for the player and one for the dvd. It would be perfect if the dvd player was smart enough to read what you select for the dvd. Anyway Sony is known for quality products and this one continues that standard. Video and audio quality is good.
