I purchased a Sony DVP-S530D DVD player 15 months ago- and yesterday I got a 'C 13:00' error on the screen. The unit had worked great up to that point; it ran a bit hot, but aside from that it was fine. I had no idea what this error message was - so I did a search on the internet and came up with some startling results:

which showed me how to take apart the unit to fix Sony's flaw. Apparently there is a consumer class-action lawsuit filed against Sony for this obvious flaw in their DVD players!!
I would have never purchased this product if I knew it would take soldering a fix to the faulty fuse just to have it work for more than 15 months.
