I found this to be a best buy because it has all the minimum features
necessary to enjoy the superior video and audio quality of DVD at an
amazing price. I was able to start watching a DVD right out of the box
with no setup except connecting the component video cable to the TV. The
player also has S-Video output for enhanced picture quality with an
S-Video capable TV. I had no problems playing The Matrix and The Fifth Element DVDs as well as some mixed DVD/ROM samplers discs.
The remote is on the small side so if you will need to be careful when selecting buttons on the remote.
I really enjoy the up to 4-times picture zoom feature. You can make a
widescreen into a full screen TV image, very cool!
For your first DVD player and perhaps the only one you will ever need this is an excellent choice.
