Just before Thanksgiving 1999 we purchased the Toshiba SD2109 DVD Player. It is wonderful. The picture quality is great! With the purchase, we received 5 free DVD's from Sony and 10 FREE DVD rentals from Blockbuster. And in the box, there were even more discount offers from DVD Express, Reel.com and Netflicks. If you subtract all of these from the purchase price of the DVD Player, the cost is less the $200.00.
My husband and I purchased this product for one reason only. We really wanted a DVD Player, and my husband will not purchase video equipment unless it is Toshiba. (They really do make the best stuff.)
I really love all of the features on the player, but the setup took a little while. Be sure to read all of the instructions, before you start hooking it up! It comes with all the cables you will need. Which is great, because they are not like regular VCR cables.
Also, I do not recommend that people purchase a DVD player, unless they have a 27" TV. (They are pretty cheep right now.) You won't be able to see all of the details on a smaller screen!
Overall, this is a great product and would recommend it to everyone who wants to purchase a DVD Player.
