Ok well once again i can't remember the exact model number of the system I own...but its one of the more advanced aiwa mini systems with 3 disc changer and dual tape deck. the model i have owned for about 3 years also has surround sound capability with a center and two rear channel speakers.
the problem that i have with this system has been reaffimed by stereo store sales people, repair shop technicians, and at leats 4 other friends who own systems within this product line.
the CD player sucks!
after about a year and a half it started taking a long time to spin up a CD and would fail to read the CD maybe one in five times...i took it and paid $50 for the laser to be aligned and it to be cleaned. I was told that a lot of people had been bringing in there aiwa systems for similar repairs.
to make a long story short the CD player doesn't work at all now. it doesn't even try to spin the CD. I have contact AIWA and they don't seem to really care.
Even if they have fixed the problem I will never trust my money with an AIWA product again.
