What an incredible stereo system this is. Who would have ever thought that a bookshelf system like this can produce so much sound. I have the AIWA NSX-MTD9 stereo system in the bedroom, but when I crank up the volume on it I can actually make the dishes in the kitchen cabinets rattle. This stereo develops an unbelievable amount of bass.
The only things I have used this for is to listen to CD's and the radio, but it can also be hooked up to your television, DVD player, and VCR to produce a home theatre. The system comes with two front speakers, a center channel speaker, and two surround speakers. It also features Dolby Pro-Logic surround sound, as well as T-Bass (for really delivering the lows) and BBE. This system is perfect for a smaller television room, teenager's room, college students... It makes a lot of sound in
a very small space!!!
The system comes with several preset graphic equalizer settings... rock, country, latin, jazz, etc, plus several surround modes including hall, concert, dance, etc.
Another very neat feature on this stereo is the karaoke function. You can actually mix your very own music and record it onto cassette tape using the various rhythms and beats that exist within. All tempos are adjustable...
The CD carousel can hold 5 compact discs, and you can change between all the CD's. The only problem is that when you do the change between CD's it takes a long time for the player to change CD's and it's kind of a loud mechanism.
One drawback of this system appears to be the remote control. It is not programmable, so it will not be able to control your television, VCR, DVD player, etc. if you use this system for home theatre.
Overall, the AIWA NSX-MTD9 home theatre system is truly amazing. It has an awful lot of power!!!
