| MaximumC2's Full Review: Bose Lifestyle 25 Theater System |
Being a Sears Electronics Associate for sometime I would give my recommendation to anyone in the market for BOSE. Unlike Sony, JVC, or any other electronics company, BOSE only specializes in Audio production. BOSE, you will find, is always going to be the best.
BOSE allows you so many different possibilities that you will find yourself forgetting some of the simplest features. Many different systems speak about the necessity of a system with Dolby Digital Decoding so that your system will be able to take regular stereo sound and transform it into surround sound. Well, you will find that BOSE is one of the few systems that will make this an easy decision due to the fact that every BOSE CD deck will do this for you. There is one problem with the Lifestyles systems: They do not play DVD's in the actual amplifiers. You will need to hook your BOSE system to a DVD player. If you're going to do this, I recommend Sony. Sony in my opinion is one of the finest and most reliable DVD players.
BOSE also provides remote controls that will be useful anywhere in your house and at a great distance outside as well. You may be asking why would I go outside with my Stereo remote, all I can tell you is: ya never know!
BOSE will provide you with the clearest most crisp sound that you've ever heard in your life. BOSE speakers are all self-amplified, which means that they will all work as one large system. Sounds confusing. Well, maybe this will explain it better. New cars today sometimes offer BOSE stereo systems. These systems are a CD deck and 5/6 speakers which are all the same size. Because all the speakers are the same size, they must work together to provide the different sounds. (i.e. Bass/Treble) I own a Camaro with a BOSE system and people often ask me what kind of subs I have in the trunk, I gladly tell them that I have none! All my BOSE speakers act as one large subwoofer just as they do one treble speaker. The result of this is fenominal sound that will blow you away.
Although BOSE is the most expensive sound system that you will find, they are well worth the money. BOSE must know this because they will not allow their retailers to discount BOSE in any way, shape, or form. Thus, don't count on stores who are advertising electronics sales! You will find, however, that BOSE does discount once in a while.
Good luck everyone in your BOSE buying decision. Know that you are purchasing the definition of quality sound!
