The Bottom Line
I recently setup this particular home audio system in a friends bedroom. With its many features it can take some learning before it becomes easy to use. But if you've had experience with home audio systems before this should be a snap. It offers everything you need to get your room sounding like a theatre.
Intro
Well what it all comes down to is, if you are looking into a home theatre system and you dont know alot about them, you can deffinately trust that this one will meet all your needs and probably surpass them. It will probably do more than you need.
If your somewhat technically inclined, or want to hear about some basic features here they are listed below.
Comes With
4 speakers for surround sound.
1 Center Speaker
1 90watt Subwoofer
Stereo/Reciever with built in
5 Disc DVD/CD changer/player
All cabling needed to connect your stereo up.
Universal Remote.
Inputs
This system offers a great variety of inputs, such as
TV In
Aux In
VCR/CD In
Since the DVD player is a 5 disc changer built into the stereo there is no need for DVD In. And the CD/VCR only needs to be used for VCR since CD is also built into this stereo.
Output
The stereo offers output of
Audio Left and Right RCA
SVideo Out
RCA Video Out
Composite Video Out
Functions
This stereo functions well as a complete system for all your audio needs. With all its inputs and options, you can arange your speakers in several positions, with modes to balance each one. You have center volume, sub volume, and dolby options, as well as support for composite video if you own a high definition TV.
Volume
The stereo puts out enough sound to easily fill a 15'x20' room with full volume from all speakers. Where some stereos offer weak volume on side and rear speakers all these perform very well.
Picture Quality
The quality of the image is of course superior to the VCR, however instead of progressive video this DVD player uses Interlaced video.
Sound Quality
Multi-channel DSP functions for advanced AV effects (Virtual Rear Surround, Multi-Rear Surround, Center Focus, Super Surround, Simulated Stereo, Seat Position Setting)
6 presets S.F.C. (Sound Field Control: Heavy, Live Clear, Soft, Hall, Disco)
All these settings allow for optional positioning of speakers in front, on side, or behind the viewing seats.
With balanced sound, as well as Equalized frequency settings. In other words no matter how you arrange the speakers and what you listen to it can be adjusted to sound even from all directions as well as clean and clear.
If your looking to build a home stereo system piece by piece, I would suggest taking a look at this one first. It offers everything you need to enjoy music, movies and more.
Even your video game systems can easily be connected.
