| Nikjdog's Full Review: JVC MX-J10 Shelf System |
A great compact system for people with limited space who want above average sound at a very reasonable price should look into this system.
When my daughters boombox died we were looking for a replacement for her dorm room at college. We all know that dorm rooms are so small so we had too look for something that would not take up too much room and produce the sound that a teenager would like. After looking into several different units we decided on a JVC based on their reputation. And what a smart move it was. She fell in love with it!
This unit features a double cassette recorder, a unique triple CD changer, base boost, and 6 different preset graphic equalizers and at 120 watts (60 watts per channel) the sound is quite amazing. The speakers are 2 way bass reflective type that have a 4 1/2 inch woofer and a 2 inch tweeter. The remote control is quite simple to use (that is of course until it gets lost.) We were able to preprogram 30 FM and 15 AM stations into the memory.
Even though this unit has fewer features than a higher end model, the price and quality made us go with this one and so far it has been a great decision.
