| Patrick.Weiss's Full Review: JVC MX-J50 CD Shelf System |
well here I'm writing my first Epinion about my brand new JVC MX-J50 and I must say I'm very happy with this purchase.
I had to replace my previous Kenwood 303 who gave me only trouble in the past 12 month so went shopping around and at the end the MX-J50 win my praise & money over the Panasonic AK-27 and Sony RDX6/7.
Why I bought this product, well first the sound is amazing out of the 4 way 120 watts each speakers, second I liked that rolling panel who hide most of the command when you don't need/use them, third liked the 3 drawer CD player instead of those carousel type and fourth the price was more than reasonable $ 350.- Canadian ( take about 35-40% off for the US figure).
This system is very easy to use/program and for once don't have to skinny button like other do. The display is big easy to read and the manual is very clear and precise, wich is not always the case.
After listening to it in the store I find it right away he had an excellent sound but once hooked at home, he fill my living room with an amazing rich sound quality and presence. The 6 different preset equalizer do a great job on whichever music style you listen to and you can program 3 setting of your own and if you like big bass you can hook a subwoofer to it.
Ok now the little complain about it : 1. the speakers cable are not long enough (ok easy enough to buy a couple of extra feet) 2. The double cassette deck make a very loud/strange noise when starting or stopping a cassette but it's fine while playing. 3 The CD changer is a bit noisy too while switching disc and not very fast (but very fast compare to the Panasonic Ak-27) and 4. The remote control case look very cheap (well easy to hide it under the couch).
So I will highly recommend this product ( and no, I have no affiliation nor endorsement with JVC)for people who like great sound quality for all kind of music, ease of use and very good value for money.
Oh and one little more thing it's a dam good looking system as well.
