| kleibfried's Full Review: Onkyo CS-209 Shelf System |
My wife needed a mini system upstairs where she spends most of her time, so went shopping for a good small nice looking 'executive' style bookshelf or mini-system.
I looked at products from JVC, Panasonic, Sony, and some others.
Most had more gadgets than I needed, ie. sliding doors, weird lights, etc.
There also were plenty of huge, gaudy, downright ugly bookshelf systems.
I was finding most better quality systems in the range of $250 on up.
I was recommended this system by my local Audio shop...guys whose experience and opinions I value. They said this is the *only* mini-system they've decided to bring in and sell....and they check many out.
First, it is a nice, compact, attractive looking piece.
The sound, though, is unbelievable. It is so much better than any other mini-system (and some component systems) I've heard. The sound is clean and clear.
I really can't believe the price for such an awesome sounding machine when I consider the other vastly inferior products I browsed.
I highly recommend this to anyone needing a good mini-system.
