I got this product for christmas, 1999. I had been begging for a a stereo system for quite sometime, and when "santa" brought it, i was NOT disappointed. A 4 speaker system, with 50+1 cd holding capabilities. I was, and still am, in love with it.
My experience w/ this product has been very good. It's easy to use and stylish.
My favorite features would have to be the cd changer, the style, and most definitely the sound. I turn it up as loud as it can go and let the whole house shake..it's great. It has many surround sound options, and a karaoke setting. It's an all around good system.
Of course, like most products, it has a few downers. It is extremely noisy when it comes to changing cds and doing anything with the tape deck. I don't like the bass settings too well, either. There aren't very many different settings. You've got your "groove on" "groove off" setting, and the the Geo files. That side of it, is a bit of a let down
I would recommend the Sony MHC-MC1 for people who want a no-fuss stereo system, w/ great quality and great sound. Sony is a wonderful brand, and has never let me down.
