| bendor's Full Review: Sony MHC-MC3AV Shelf System |
Everyone today has, or at least should have more CD's than cassette tapes and, God forbid, record albums. I'm sure the number of home CD players are growing just as fast as the VCR craze of 15 years ago. It only makes sense in today's fast-paced world to play all those CD's in a row without ever having to get up to change the CD.
Most home stereo CD players have a standard of up to 5 CD's which can be played repeatedly at one time. For me and my family, we prefer to play more than 5 CD's, much more.
Our recent purchase of the Sony Mini Hi Fi Component System (MHC-MC3AV) with it's 50 plus 1 CD capacity and incredibly clear sound from the 200 total watts of output has been more than satisfying. While other systems play up to 300 CD's they are one component of an entire rack system which consists of ridiculously-oversized furniture emitting unnecessary loudness where a second income is necessary for ownership.
The Sony Hi Fi System has the same or comparable "boom" effect yet fits comfortably into an entertainment center you'd think the sound was coming from your 25 inch TV set.At just 14 inches high and about as deep, they remind me of the "boom boxes" of the 80's. Other features include the dual tape cassette player, memory feature for favorite tracks and, of course, the remote control.
If you like music and keeping your checkbook balance at a descent amount, consider good ole' Sony.
